Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday lambasted Union Minister Prakash Javadekar for his statements and said that no one can stop Congress coming to power, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah.

Reacting to the statements of Javadekar that the BJP will win majority seats in the upcoming general elections, Siddaramaiah quipped, "Is he an astrologer to predict the future".

When BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa is not aware of the state, what does Javadekar know about Karnataka, he commented.

The BJP is under stress as there are no winning candidates in most of the assembly segments. "Yeddyurappa and BJP leaders are misleading the people by leveling false and baseless allegations," the CM said.

Yeddyurappa, being a state president of a national party and former chief minister, should not make irresponsible statements that the state government failed to utilise the Union grants, the CM said.

Transfer of DC

When reporters asked about the recent transfers of IAS officers, the CM said that transfers were done only because of administrative matters and not due to any pressure, as projected. "There is no politics in the transfer of Hassan Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri Dasari. The transfer of officers should not be politicised," the CM said.

Commenting on the audio clipping of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee vice president B Shivaram in connection with the transfer of Rohini Sinduri that has gone viral, the CM said, he has not discussed the issue with Shivaram.
