Lorry knocks down motorcycle rider

A 30-year-old motorcycle rider was killed when a speeding lorry knocked him down near Bangalore University gate on Thursday.

The deceased, Shivaram Krishna, was a resident of Banaswadi and an electrical engineer by profession.

The accident occurred around 8 am when Krishna was heading towards Kengeri.

An over-speeding lorry driven in a rash and negligent manner knocked him down.

Krishna sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot. The lorry driver parked the vehicle at a distance and fled from the spot. A case has been registered.
