Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Mary Francis has said that the children in the age group of 0-5 would be administered the pulse polio drops on January 28 and March 11 respectively in the district.
Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, the DC said that 82,872 children in the district have been identified in the 0-5 age group. Of the total 82,872, as many as 66,681 children are in the rural areas and 16,191 are in urban areas. She added that as many as 670 booths have been set up. Besides, 30 transit booths and 11 mobile teams have been set up. She urged the public to not wait for door-to-door administering of the polio drops and instead approach the nearest polio booth and get polio drops administered to their kids.
