The city police commissioner on Monday submitted a report before the Karnataka High Court, stating that he was satisfied with the investigation in the case of techie Ajitabh, who has been missing since December 18.

In his report, T Suneel Kumar said the investigation was still in progress. To  this, the court asked him to update it on the developments during the next hearing on  February 2.

The court had earlier directed the commissioner to guide the Special Investigation Team with the probe, and said that his report should also indicate whether he was satisfied with the progress.

Justice A S Bopanna was hearing a petition filed by Ajitabh's father, Ashok Kumar Sinha, who had moved the court, seeking a CBI investigation into his son's disappearance.

Ajitabh went missing after he left his Whitefield home on December 18 to sell his car to a buyer, who had contacted him on OLX, an online classified portal on which he had put up his car for sale.
