A shocking video of a father mercilessly beating his five-year-old son and three-year-old daughter for urinating in their pants, in Rajasthan's Rajsamand district, went viral on social media, leading to his arrest on Tuesday.
The video was shot by a neighbour. It clearly shows 32-year-old Chain Singh Rawat beating both his children. While the boy (Lalit) is tied with a rope, the girl (Puja) is lying nearby and being thrashed. In the one-minute video, the children are seen crying and screaming, while their father kept hitting them.
Strict action
Manan Chaturvedi, chairperson of Rajasthan State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, said strict action has been ordered against the accused. Commission sources said action will also be taken against the person who made the video and posted it on social media.
According to police, two days ago, the children urinated in their clothes after which Chain Singh started beating them. Assistant Sub-Inspector Mangi Lal said, "Children Welfare Committee President Bhawna Paliwal registered an FIR against Chain Singh under relevant sections of the IPC and under sections of Juvenile Justice Act."
Yet another horrific video had emerged from Rajsamand, where a man's chilling murder was recorded by his killer and circulated on social media last month.
