A total of 44 anganwadi buildings are under construction. <br />Mid-day meal official Manjula said that the scheme has been implemented in 1,420 schools in the district and 2.37 lakh children are being fed under the scheme. As many as 9,013 children have opted not to have mid-day meals. A sum of Rs 15.63 crore has been utilised under this scheme of the total released amount of Rs 15.65 crore. Mangalore City Corporation Commissioner Vijayprakash said that at present there is no drinking water problem in the city. “Of the total Rs 100 crore released to Mangalore City Corporation, a sum of Rs 65 crore has been released and Rs 60.43 crore has been utilised. About 96 projects have been completed out of 251 projects,” he said.<br /><br />Deputy Commissioner V Ponnuraj said that he is aware of the condition of Thokkottu-Talapady road and a report has been submitted to the centre on the same. Funds have been sanctioned for Thokkottu-Talapady road and the said stretch of road will be repaired by May 15.<br /><br /></p>
