<p>A 28-year-old man was knocked down by a speeding private bus on Hosur Road on Monday afternoon.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The deceased has been identified as Shivakumar Singh, a resident of JP Nagar. He worked for a private firm near Basavanagudi.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Police said the accident occurred at around 3 pm on Monday when Singh was coming from Electronic City. A speeding bus with Tamil Nadu registration plate which was coming from Hosur Road hit him from behind and he was killed on the spot.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Soon after the accident, the bus driver fled the scene. The Electronic City police rushed to the spot and shifted Singh's body to St John's hospital.</p>
