'A powerhouse of talent'

Actors from across film  industries remember the  legendary actor Sridevi and  share their memories of her.

"Sridevi was truly an  inspiration. Her talent, aura,  sense of comic timing and  dancing skills were one of-a- kind. She was a female  superstar and her passing  away is a huge loss for everyone.  Her last few movies were a great comeback for  her. She didn't need a hero  to make the movie great.  That's Sridevi for you. She  was a powerhouse of talent.  May her soul rest in peace."

"There are a few artistes  who are god's favourites and  she was his chosen child. I grew up watching her films,  so when I worked with her  in 'English Vinglish', I was  sceptical how she would  approach the scene. One the  set, I was trying to improvise  my lines and I remember  her asking me if I was going  to say that when the actual  take was on. I got scared at  the moment but then she told me that I should say that  in front of the camera so that  the audience won't miss it. It  just showed how secure an  actor she was. She was one of  those who stopped being the  character she's playing when  the camera stopped rolling.  She was always herself first and then the star. That's  something one should learn  from her."

"Sridevi ma'am was one  of my greatest inspirations.  Her work ethics, her  professional tenacity and  most of all, her graceful and dignified demeanour are  something that I admired.  It was such a memorable experience working with her  -something I will cherish. My sincere condolences to  her family and her two beautiful  daughters. It is truly  heartbreaking and I wish  her soul peace and love from the bottom of my heart."

"It was absolutely shocking  to hear the news. She was  very healthy and fit; I can't  believe she passed away  after a heart attack. She was  one of the finest actors and is  truly irreplaceable. Ironically,  the first time I met  her was in Dubai six years  ago and she had this perfect  skin and glow. I was awestruck  by her beauty.  She was a complete actor.  She had this calmness about  her and had the ability to change her experiences  by the second. Her timing  in comedy, dance and her  grace is something we're  going to miss."

"Sridevi was one of those  actors who was disciplined.  We worked together in the Telugu film 'S P Parasuram'  and she was a delight to watch. She would sit quietly  after each shot and speak  only when she was approached.  She kept it strictly  professional and never  discussed her personal  life. She was a role model  to many women out there. Her comeback movies like  'Mom' and 'English Vinglish'  were amazing. She had a lot  of dreams to fulfil but sadly  she didn't have enough time  to achieve them all. She was more than a star; she was a  fine actor."
