Lady superstar Sridevi's mortal remains shifted from home to Celebrations Sports Club. Celebrities and fans line up to pay her the last respect.

Four days after she died an untimely death in a Dubai hotel, the body was brought to Mumbai on Tuesday night.

The body was brought by her husband and filmmaker Boney Kapoor, brother-in-law Sanjay, stepson Arjun, and Sandeep and Reena Marwah among others, on board industrialist Anil Ambani's private jet.

Sridevi's daughters Janhvi and Khushi, co-star and brother-in-law Anil Kapoor, his actor-daughter Sonam, and family friends Ambani and politician Amar Singh were present at the airport.

The body was taken to the actor's Green Acres residence at Lokhandwala. The Mumbai Police created a "green corridor" for the nearly 10 to 12 km journey.

On Wednesday morning, the body would be kept at the Celebration Sports Club for the public to pay their last respects.

The funeral would be held at the Vile Parle crematorium on Wednesday afternoon. The police had a tough time while trying to control fans.

A strong contingent of private security guards was also present.

Earlier in the day, the body was handed over to Boney Kapoor after the Dubai prosecution ruled out foul play.

It was later taken for embalming and subsequently to the Dubai airport.

Dubai Public Prosecution stressed that all regular procedures followed in such cases have been completed.

"As per the forensic report, the death of the Indian actress occurred due to accidental drowning following a loss of consciousness. The case has now been closed," the Dubai Media Office tweeted.
