Rowdy-sheeter arrested
The KS Layout police have arrested a rowdy-sheeter for allegedly harassing citizens for money and recovered a gold chain and a cellphone. The arrested Fairoz (26) was imprisoned in connection with a murder in 2006 and was released after some time. He accosted S S Ravikanth while he was moving in front of Dayananda Sagar College recently and snatched his gold chain, cellphone and cash of Rs 350.
Youth hacked to death
A 22-year-old youth was hacked to death by a gang of four in Viveknagar on Sunday night. The victim Praveen was a resident of Sonnenahalli.
Praveen, a class VII dropout worked in a factory. He was returning home alone when unidentified men on two bikes attacked him with lethal weapons. He succumbed to injuries on the spot. The motive for the murder is yet to be ascertained, police said.
