The District and Sessions Court has sentenced a man to nine years of imprisonment on charges of sexual assault and threatening the life of a woman. The court has also slapped a fine of Rs 12,000.
The accused is Venkatesh who was working in a coffee estate at Hosapete. He had sexually assaulted a labourer working on the estate. He had even issued a life threat to her and asked her not to reveal the incident.
