The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the granting of Scheduled Tribe status to Parivara and Talavara communities, reports DHNS from New Delhi.
The Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the Karnataka government plea to include these two communities in the Scheduled Tribe list since they are synonymous of Nayakas, said a statement.
