This is a joint initiative by the police along with Rajasthan State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (RSCPCR). We will be duplicating the idea in other districts". Incidentally, Dholpur is the hometown of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.

According to Chaturvedi, this is first of its kind police station under the 'Ek Kadam Bachpan Ki Or' campaign and subsequently, a room for children will be created at all 850 police stations across the state.

Cops have also invited various NGOs working for the welfare of children for crowdfunding. "We are not demanding any money. But people can bring things used to develop this place," Niyaz Mohammad added.
