The state government vehicle drivers federation has filed a complaint against Chief Election Officer (CEO), Sanjeev Kumar, alleging harassment.

State Govt and Govt Concerns Drivers Federation stated that the CEO has "violated rules" and "forced" the drivers of government vehicles, corporations and other state organisations to work without any intimation.

In a letter addressed to Police Commissioner T Suneel Kumar, the federation said election officials are using police and transport department officials to stop vehicles on the road and acquire them without prior communication.

"The election officials approach the department concerned for vehicles but we have not been informed of any change in duty. Vehicles are stopped in the middle of the road and drivers are served notice about the requisition. About 300 vehicles have been acquired in this manner," said M N Venugopal, president of the federation.

The federation has requested for an FIR to be registered at Ulsoor Gate police station and action against the CEO.
