Niranjan Thomas Alva (78), Supreme Court lawyer and husband of former Union minister and governor Margaret Alva, passed away in Bengaluru on Saturday, reports DHNS from Bengaluru.
He is survived by his wife and four children.Funeral will take place at 4 pm on Sunday at St
Theresa of Kolkata Church, Sanjay Nagar in Bengaluru, followed by cremation at Hebbal Crematorium. A former SBI director, Niranjan Alva was son of Joachim and Violet
Alva, freedom fighters who were also the first couple to be elected to Parliament.
