Undersecretary to the energy department has lodged a complaint with the Vidhana Soudha police alleging that a proprietor of a solar power plant has tweaked his proposal as a government order to avail a bank loan.
Harish LB, the proprietor of SLV Power Project in Bengaluru, had submitted a proposal to the govt for setting up of a 6-MW solar power plant at the Kabbanahalli village in Gundulpet taluk of Chamrajanagar district.
According to the complaint, Harish tweaked the proposal as an approved project forging signatures of former employees from the energy department and applied for a
loan from a bank, the police said.
When the bank staff verified with the energy department officials about the loan, it came to light that the project has not been approved.
After an inquiry about the origin of the fake order, the undersecretary lodged a police complaint. Harish is yet to be arrested. Vidhana Soudha police are investigating the case.
