JOIN USAiyamma got the ball rolling five minutes into the game with Muthanna getting into the act four minutes later. Aiyamma then sounded the board in the fifteenth minute and found his third nine minutes later. He completed his hat-trick in the 38th minute with Kuttaiah getting Palangada’s final goal in the 50th minute.
In another match, Nellamakkada eased past Moodera 6-1 to make the final-8 courtesy a brace each from Sachin Bopanna and Rahul Ponnanna.
Bopanna found the net first in the 7th minute with his second coming in the 19th. Ponnanna got his two in the 14th and 69th minutes with the other two goals coming from Manju Muthappa (24th) and Saji Nanaiah (50th).
The consolation goal for Moodera came from Sanju Palangappa three minutes past the hour mark. The other two teams making it into the quarterfinals were Mandepanda, who beat Mekerira 3-1, and Cheppudira who thumped Chendira 5-1.
