Violation of election code of conduct alleged

While the Election Commission has strictly said that the names of parties and their projects will not be mentioned by the candidates while seeking votes, it is said that the candidates backed by Congress are distributing hand bills which has mention on various projects undertaken by the Central Government.

BJP District Secretary M A Sheshadri said that they have brought the issue to the notice of Election Officer and have urged the EO to take action against the candidate for violating the code of conduct.

Counter allegation

Meanwhile Youth Congress President Anil D’Souza has said that BJP has brought out a hand bill for GP election mentioning various schemes and projects of BJP Government and this hand bill is being distributed by BJP backed candidates in Kalasa hobli. He said that the Election Observer has been intimated about the same.
