BangaloreOne centres witness heavy rush

Last Updated 07 May 2010, 19:04 IST

While the Centre was supposed to start the transactions from Saturday, many parents and students were seen making a beeline to the counters on Friday. Many students had to wait for a few hours before they could pay for any of the services which began at 2 pm.

"I was here at 11 am but then I was told that they would start taking the forms only start by 2 pm," said Vishak S V from Sri Satya Sai PU College, Chikkaballapur. Vishak, who got less marks in Chemistry and Maths, came to submit his form for photocopy of answersheet.

"We are engaged only for receiving payment on behalf of the department. The department will upload the transaction data everyday," said Yogesh R, manager at Malleswaram BangaloreOne centre.

Being close to the Department, Yogesh felt that majority of the students, especially outstation ones, will be directed to this centre. As a result, arrangements were made in all the 12 counters to collect the forms and the payment. The cost for photocopy is Rs 300, revaluation (Rs 750) and for retotalling (Rs 200).
