Akshay defeated Shabhik Varma in the final round to clinch the boys’ title and Meghana retained her girls’ section crown with a easy win over Manasa HR. Akshay, Pangal Gopalkrishna Nayak of Mangalore, Meghana and Andria from Mangalore will thus represent the State in the upcoming under-11 National championship to be held at Shimoga from July 10 to 18.
