Change in health insurance norms soon

Mediclaim policy holders, who are not satisfied with the services of their existing insurance providers, will be able to switch to another firm easily soon without any change in the premium outgo, IRDA Chairman said.

There are lots of issues which are being sorted out by IRDA and General Insurance Council, insurance regulator J Hari Narayan told PTI.

“We have suggested to industry and hopefully it will happen soon,” he said, adding, there would be no change in the premia if a switch over happens.
The General Insurance Council is an association of non-life insurers.
