Impersonator booked

The youth was identified as Ravindra Kumar from Patna in Bihar. He admitted his friend Imtiyaz Alam (bearing Test Admission Ticket number-113702) had paid him money to write the exam on his behalf, Comed-K officials said.

Chemistry-Physics paper was scheduled for 10 am. Ravindra Kumar entered the college on Dr Rajukmar Road, carrying Imtiyaz Alam’s hall ticket with Alam’s photograph on it. He signed on the answer sheet, on Alam’s hall ticket and on invigilator’s diary in the presence of the invigilator and started writing.

A few minutes later, the invigilator grew suspicious as Ravindra was partially covering his face with his hand. Though Ravindra resembled Alam, the invigilator checked the photographs and signatures and found some disparities in the photograph and signatures.

He immediately informed his higher ups, said the sources. The squad members rushed to the hall and booked him.
