For this, the students have to be clear about the subject-combination they want to pursue. Almost every year there are variations in the admission procedure and colleges introduce new rules for which the students have to follow.

Each college has different procedure for the various combinations. Mount Carmel College, St Joseph’s College of Arts and Science and Christ University have been conducting interviews for BA and BSc courses.

If the student does well in the interview then the seat is confirmed. There are entrance exams for courses like BBM, BCom industry integrated, communication studies and BA in Journalism followed by an interview for the students who clear the entrance exam and the students have to pay the fees within 24 hours to confirm the seat.

 ISC and CBSE students can buy the application forms in advance and submit it on the day (next day as well) their results are announced.


Points to remember

* Fill in all the details legibly and follow the instructions given in the prospectus.

* Double check all the documents which have to be submitted.

* Tick the right combinations and name your priorities accordingly as most colleges have many combinations in all the three streams.

*  Most colleges have put up a completed dummy application form for the benefit of students.

*  Keep a stock of passport and stamp size photographs ready.

*  Keep a photocopy of the application form.

*  Keep the acknowledgement safely.

Documents required for applying:

1. Second PUC provisional marks card with seal from college authorities.

2. Photocopy of 10th standard marks card.

3. Transfer certificate from previous college.
