<p> <br />The State Government has amended the Goonda Act by bringing piracy under its limits. However, the amendment is yet to be ratified by the President.<br /><br />On Wednesday, KFCC chairman Basanth Kumar Patil said the chamber would constitute a committee to keep a tab on the sale of pirated CDs. The committee would catch hold of those indulging in the illegal trade and hand them over to the police for taking legal action.<br /><br />Patil said KFCC had appealed to the government to improve basic infrastructure facilities in government-owned Kanteerava studio, so that film fraternity could make better use of the studio. Bringing in a uniform system of renting out film theatres was also among their list of demands. Representatives of the chamber recently submitted a list of their demands to Chief Minister Yeddyurappa.</p>
