I failed, admits Shivakumar

In a press conference in Bangalore, Shivakumar said he was disappointed by the party’s defeat in successive elections. He was unhappy because he could not fulfil expectations of the party workers in the state.

Asked who restricted him from working, Shivakumar evaded a reply. “I don’t blame others. I admit that I have failed to deliver the task I was assigned to,” he said.

When his attention was drawn to a few opinions within the party against having the post of working president of KPCC, Shivakumar said those who oppose the post should convey their opinions to party high command Sonia Gandhi.
