As the mango harvest has not yet begun in the taluk there are no takers for the mangoes in the market. Stall owners at APMC are thus collecting mangoes from farmers and sending them to outside markets.

Harvesting of Rajageera mangoes will be completed in a week’s time. However, the yield of Rajageera mangoes this time   is very low.

Hence, the price of this variety of mango might shoot up. However, prices for different varieties of mangoes have not been fixed, as the market has not been opened.

In the midst of all these the construction of stalls is in progress at the APMC yard. The old stalls are being cleaned and those stalls that were flooded during the monsoon, as they were on the low-lying region of the yard, are being repaired.

Despite it being the mango season the road to the APMC yard is ill maintained. Also, there is a need to provide electricity and drinking water at the APMC yard.
