One for Halappa and one for the other

This was again proved at the Victoria Hospital on Sunday, where former minister Halappa has been admitted.

Patients from far-off places come to this Hospital for treatment at affordable costs. But, this was not to be for Nagarathna from Dodda Banaswadi who had brought her daughter for treatment.

“Though the kind-hearted doctor gave free medicines, we had to wait for a fairly long time,” she rued. The waiting facility consists of just two rows of granite slabs with just a roof for shade, another patient said.

On the other hand, the condition of former minister H Halappa continued to be stable. According to medical superintendent of the Hospital, Dr B G Tilak, Halappa was feeling very tired due to stress and medication.

“Due to his health condition, stress and medication he (Halappa) was feeling very tired today.  However his wheezing has come down,” he added.

The tainted minister continues to be under antibiotics, medication for hypertension and IV fluids. His food is being supplied from outside the hospital.
