Speaking after reviewing the progress of the Apex bank and district central cooperative banks, the Government was contemplating to adopt the Bangladesh model of micro credit scheme. Presently, there are 1,57,136 co-operative institutions and they have disbursed Rs 1,152 crore loan so far. Co-operation Minister Lakshman Savadi said the 11 courts would be set up exclusively to dispose of cases related to the department. Over 55,000 pending cases related to the department.
