Indonesian delegates visit Central Silk Board

Welcoming the delegates, M Sathiyavathy, Member Secretary of CSB stated that there were a lot of similarities in sericulture activities between India and Indonesia.  “The CSB is equipped with competent scientific and technical personnel to provide consultancy services for implementing collaborative sericulture development projects not only to Indonesia but also to the other developing countries,” she added.

The Board will assist the countries in the development of sericulture technologies and provide training  through CSB research institutes.

She also informed them about the objectives of Silk Mark Organisation of India (SMOI) and its initiative to create awareness in India and abroad about the purity of silk products.
