Kariyappa fashions Hutti Gold win

Forest Sports Association could not effectievely resist a fine spell from Kariyappa (5/16), losing wickets in a heap to end up with a well below par 180. VR Srinath’s fighting 74 added a touch of dignity to the Forestmen’s total.

With Kariyappa (60) and Apsar Pasha (40 n.o.) chipping in with good knocks, Hutti Gold Mines CC went past the target in just 34.5 overs.

Anurag Bajpai (104) scored a century and Zafuddin (5/24) claimed five wickets to help Jawahar Sports Club (2) register a facile 61-run win over Jayanagar Colts in the KSCA Group I, Division II under-16 inter-club cricket tournament on Monday.
Jawahars made a competitive 222 before being dismissed in the 45th over, but with Zafuddin in tremendous wicket-taking form, Jayanagar Colts were  shot out for just 161.
In another match, Bangalore Sports Club crushed Vultures Cricket Club by eight wickets.
