“Everybody has his or her own viewpoint. If I like something, it is not necessary that others will like it too,” Rakesh Roshan said.
“We have not received good reviews here, but the film has been immensely appreciated overseas. Our film must have had something that it has done Rs 21 crore business on its opening day.”
He was speaking during the post-release promotion of Kites along with son Hrithik Roshan and Mexican actress Barbara Mori, who play main leads in the movie.
“We respect everybody’s viewpoint and I thank all the critics for whatever they have said,” said Hrithik.
Directed by Anurag Basu, Kites, a romantic saga about an Indian guy and a Spanish girl, was released last Friday.
