Govt to set up Textile Park in C B Pur

He was speaking to mediapersons after laying the foundation stone for the indoor stadium in the City on Wednesday.The minister said the ‘World Global Investors’ Meet’ will be held on June 3 and 4. A proposal in this regard will be made at the meet. Entrepreneurs will be invited to establish their business here, he said.

Silk production is highest at Shidlaghatta taluk in the district. The task of identifying the land to establish the sericulture park was going on. Several renowned companies had come forward to establish their ventures at the silk park, the minister said.

The minister informed that he had met the Union Textile Minister to discuss about the problems of silk growers, recently. As silk is beign from China the silk growers here are undergoing huge loss.  The Union Textile Minister was urged to seek the Central Government’s help to solve these problems.

The Bombay Rayon company will soon be starting its venture at Chikkaballapur. With this, about 2,000 people will be getting employment opportunities, Goolihatti Shekhar added.
MLA K P Bachegowda, Deputy Commissioner Anwar Pasha, Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Panchayat Krishnappa, BJP leader Balavanahalli Lokesh, Agalagurki Chandrashekhar and several others were present on the occasion.
