With this book, Nandy has returned to poetry after 20 years."It was only because of constant nudging of noted poet Gulzaar that I have taken to poetry again," Nandy, 59, said.
"The entire collection of my poems which even I don't have, is with Gulzaar," he added.
Former minister of state for external affairs Shashi Tharoor said he grew up reading Nandy's poetry.

"I am an ardent fan of Nandy's poems," Tharoor said. Bestselling author Chetan Bhagat, actor Anupam Kher and poet-filmmaker Gulzaar were also present at the book launch.
Nandy's first book of poems 'Of Gods and Olives' was published in 1967. He has published a number of poetry books and translated poems by other writers from Bengali into English.
Nandy was nominated as a Poet Laureate by the World Academy of Arts and Culture at the Fifth World Congress of Poets in San Francisco in 1981.

He took up journalism thereafter and served as editor to many publications like Time of India, The Illustrated Weekly of India, The Independent, Filmfare and Femina.
