Addressing a news conference on Friday, he said that as per the information revealed by ZP Executive Engineer under RTI, states that no meeting has been convened by Public Works Department with regard to the Town Panchayat road widening works. He said that JD(S) is not opposing the road widening works instead it welcomes the move of the Government of earmarking Rs 1 crore for the said purpose.
He said that JD(S) has problems with the way the road widening works are being implemented. “A meeting must be convened by Deputy Commissioner and people who own house in the area earmarked for widening must be given adequate time for vacating the land. An action plan must be made in this regard,” he said. D C Diakar, Rajagopal Shreshti and others were present.
