They said as the train was entering Durgapur station around 10.32 am, a cabin man noticed smoke emanating from a wheel. The train was stopped at Durgapur and checked.
On examination, it was found that a plastic bag which had got entangled in a wheel was causing the smoke as it brushed against the track. It was removed and the train left Durgapur for Howrah at 10.44 am.
