There have been several instances of miscalculation of marks in SSLC and PUC examination. But this student from Koila in Uppinangady experienced a different kind of problem all together.
Two pages in the answerscript of Mohammad Asif, a II PU student of Philomena College, Uppinangady were not evaluated and this negligence by the evaluators cost him dear as he got 20 marks less in Physics.
Asif, a resident of Puringa village in Koila had expected 60 marks in Physics, instead got only 39. He decided to go in for revaluation after checking out his answerscript and hence paid the fees to the PU Board and asked for a copy of his answerscript.
On receiving the copy, he discovered that the two pages in the answerscript were not evaluated. The answers on those two pages were correct and there were chances of him getting additional 20 marks for the same.
Though he had sent the application for the copy of answerscript through speed post on May 14 itself, the copy reached him only on May 30, after the revaluation date was over.
