<p>A 23-km road from Matholli to Bukudi Bail is completely shattered in spite of the large population of around 1,200 in the region. The road was constructed during the term of MLA Veerappa Gowda and thereafter it never witnessed asphaltation.<br /><br />Though a sum of Rs 54 lakhs was granted during the period of D B Chandre Gowda the road, was only gravelled. As the road is in the jurisdiction of Kuduremukh reserve forest area, the Forest Act has blocked the path of Bukudi Bail road undergoing constructon.<br /><br />“Let the Forest Act be loosened and let the road find repair at least during the term of present MLA D N Jeevaraj,” say residents Matholli Sathish and Uduthal Arun. Jeevaraj who received popularity after bringing out a massive development of Sringeri roads also holds the power of MLA, so that it is not an impossible task for him to slightly loosen the Act and get the road repaired.</p>
