New BBMP chief likely

 A senior government official confirmed that the government was considering the move as Subramanya has sought voluntary retirement. However, the transfer order copy has not been signed. With the official indicating that Secretary of Social Welfare Department Bharat Lal Meena is a possible successor to Subramanya, the transfer looks imminent.
The government had forced Subramanya to withdraw a defamation case against Lokayukta. He withdrew the case, after the Chief Minister intervened in the matter.
