Grants for community halls

Minorities Welfare Department will be granting funds under the Minorities Community Hall Development Programme for constructing a community hall or a ‘shaadi mahal’. Based on the estimates drawn, Rs 50 lakh will be granted for districts and Rs 20 lakh for taluks. Interested minorities’ organisations and associations, who possess land documents in their names, can apply by submitting the approved plan, copy of the permission granted for construction, estimates and other documents by August 31. The applications should be submitted to the District Backward Communities and Minorities Development Department, a release said.
