Work on Yaragol project to be launched today

Legislator and Karnataka Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Board chairman Varthur Prakash, who had a meeting with the officers of City Municipality here on Friday said that according to experts the work on Rs 150 crore project may take two years for completion.

Pipes have been purchased at a cost of Rs 30 crore for the project. The work on construction of seven overhead tanks and treatment plant will be started in the City, he revealed.
Prakash directed the CMC officers to commence the work on the ambitious project in a well-planned manner, with focus on quality.

CMC president Nazir Ahmed, vice-president V K Rajesh, commissioner Syeda Nilofer Jameen were present.
