Venkateshamurthy's vehicle seized

Sumitra, first wife of Venkateshamurthy had lodged a complaint with Malur police on May 6 alleging that her husband had cheated her by marrying another woman without divorcing her. She had also alleged that Venkateshamurthy, who arrived at her house in a four-wheeler had intimidated her.

Based on Sumitra’s complaint the police seized Venkateshamurthy’s four- wheeler from his house in Gopala extension. Venkateshamurthy was also summoned to the police station in Malur of Tirthahalli taluk, where he was interrogated. Naveen, Sumitra’s first son and who is with Venkateshamurthy now was also questioned by thepolice.

Venkateshamurthy had availed bail from the court in Tirthahalli, against the charges levelled by his first wife.
