Basavaraju, of Hubli, went near the British Bungalow to take pictures. However, he slipped and fell over the precipice.
On Sunday morning, Basavaraju arrived from Hubli with his friends to see the Jog Falls. The accident occured when he climbed up the wall adjacent to the watch-tower wishing to take pictures from a close range.
The fire department staff searched the spot till 30 feet deep but found no traces of the man.
