Holding the key to a new world

The event saw the inauguration of the activities of Manthana, the cultural club; Avishkar, the science club; Dribbling Drills, the sports club; Green Teens, the eco-club and handed over the responsibilities of various student associations to the student union of this academic year.

The newly appointed student co-ordinators of these associations were sworn in at the ceremony and they took the charge of their respective posts.


The festive mood was evident on the face of every student as they witnessed their representatives taking the oath.

While Kavya V M took oath as the student union president, Sowmya S did so as the secretary of the union amidst great applause and cheer. D Varalakshmi, an eminent social worker, was the chief guest.

She called upon the students to serve the society with the right attitude. “Along with the informative learning taught in schools and colleges, transformative learning which teaches the virtues and encourages leadership qualities is also needed. Thus, students will understand the conditions of the poor and the underprivileged and will contribute something back to the society.” Cultural events performed by the students gave a colourful touch to the celebration. ‘Eureka’ and group presented the song Choreography which praised the greatness of divine power. Latha, Monica and Anju conducted the prayer service All hail the name of St Anne and spread the message of love and service.
Benita and group presented a fabulous dance to the track I Am Alive by Celine Deon. Nikita and team kept the crowd engrossed with their tireless recital of Taal se taal mila from the film Taal.
