Farmers find it difficult to transport their products to the markets due to bad roads. <br /><br />Users’ woes<br /><br />A stretch of 18.6 km gravel road, 6.6 km asphalted road and 7.6 km concreted road come under Town Municipal Council limits. <br /><br />The woes of the motorists have increased on account of the construction of the Underground drainage taken up eight months ago. <br /><br />Traffic congestion has increased as the trenches are dug up in between the roads. According to Town Municipal Council Chief Officer Venkatesh, the work will be completed in a year. Till then motorists and pedestrians have to endure traffic woes. <br /><br />Nearly 253.75 km roads connect rural areas. Of these 115.97 km is gravel filled road, 50 km is mud road. <br /><br />A stretch of 66.5 km State Highway passes through the taluk as also a stretch of 94 km that connects other taluks and district headquarters is in bad condition.<br /></p>
