Tarot reader Kirron Kher predicts that Kareena Kapoor will meet her Mr Right at 7 am after seven days. And in case she fails to spot him, Kher gives another wondrous clue: he will sport seven colours in his outfit! So Kareena goes ek-do-teen the moment she meets her rainbow man, Shahid Kapoor. Hurray, there are seven shades (his brown socks included) and the pair is in love.
So sweet, thinks director Satish Kaushik. Then he goes into the Serendipity mode and blames destiny for the rest of the atrocities he commits on the viewers. So, every other line comes garnished with kismat, taqdeer or bhagya.
A few horrible songs later (courtesy the now-in-hiding Reshammiya) Shahid develops a penchant for rooftops. Reason: Kareena has walked out on him and solace is in good supply at high altitudes.
Almost five years in the making, “Milenge Milenge” looks its age, with a much-rounded Kareena and a no-packs Shahid. Both do an honest job, but are surrounded by loud motormouths (who should come with an eardrum alert). Not a patch on their earlier outing “Jab We Met”, this one should have remained in the can.
