The police took Prashanth B, who claimed himself to be Captain in the Indian Army, and his mother recently based on a complaint filed by his wife, Chandrika, said sources in the police department.
Chandrika stated in the complaint that her husband harassed her for dowry and was demanding her to divorce him.
According to sources, Prashanth was in the USA for a brief period. He came to India recently and was staying with his mother in a rented house. Chandrika too had returned from England.
