Case filed against Nitish, Modi, ministers

The complainant Mohan Kumar charged Kumar, Modi and 45 others with being involved in irregularities in various departments responsible for execution of welfare schemes.
Judge Ajit Kumar fixed July 29 as the date of hearing after recording the statement of the complainant.

Mohan Kumar's counsel Vinu Kumar alleged that the irregularities related to fraudulent withdrawals from state treasury and corruption in various schemes under MNREGA and departments of water resources, human resources, health, minor irrigation, road construction and finance between 2002 and 2008.

The complainant accused the chief minister and his deputy of being involved in alleged fraudulent withdrawals from the state treasury. The report of the Account General Office for the period ended on March 31, 2008 formed the basis for the complaint, he said.

Kumar also sought registering case against state ministers N K Yadav (Health), Prem Kumar (RCD), Harinarain Singh (HRD), Brishen Patel (Rural Works Department), Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha (Rural Development), Damodar Raut (Social Welfare), besides Chief Secretary Anup Mukherjee and several other secretaries of the state government.
