'Students should help revive Indian culture'

Inaugurating ‘Prajnana’, the activity centre of the Vidyarthi Shikshana Seva Trust on Sunday, he said, “ We are in a competitive world and we need to prepare students according to the changes that are taking  place across the globe”.

He said, “Considering all these aspects, the State had constituted the Karnataka Knowledge Commission. Apart from this, the Sanskrit university in Bangalore, Agriculture University in Raichur, Horticulture university in Bagalkote, Law university in Hubli and another university in Davanagere have been sanctioned. These universities will function from the present academic year.” He also added that the State was mulling over establishing ayurveda universities too.

Dr K Kasturirangan, Director, National Institute of Advanced Studies, said, “In about five years, India will produce satellites that will be exemplary to the entire world.”
