Overnight 276/4, a lead of 37 runs, President’s XI went on to pile a massive 530 all out in 164.2 overs, thanks mainly to Sunil’s 110 and to a lesser extent Patil’s 51. Stuart Binny chipped in with a handy 38 to help his team extend the lead to a handsome 291. City XI, who could manage only 239 all out in their first hit, were reeling at 67 for two; with still 224 runs in arrears and a full final day left, KB Pawan’s team is looking at a potential defeat.
At RSI, Bangalore Zone tightened noose around Combined XI with a commanding show, both with the bat and the ball. Resuming at their bed-time score of 262/5, Bangalore finished at 431 all out from 137 overs. Chetan William did the bulk of scoring with a well-struck 123.

Bangalore then sent Combined spinning at 130 for five in 43 overs, Aditya Sagar (3/20) causing most of the damage.
