Badhwar, who turned in brilliant cards of 69 and 71 in the first two rounds, sank five birdies and an eagle against three bogeys today to total eight-under 208 and notch up a one-stroke win over Rico Hoey (66).
After parring the first two holes, Badhwar picked up a birdie at the third but a bogey on the next pulled him back. The Indian then dropped a birdie and an eagle before another bogey spoilt his card.
But he knocked down two more birdies at the last two holes to make the turn at four-under at the Riverwalk Golf Course.
On his back nine, he dropped a bogey in the 12th before recovering with a birdie at the 13th hole and parred the rest to emerge victories in the Boys category of 13-14 years.
Badhwar, who turns 14 next month, has been a bright golfer but luck has eluded him so far in the World Junior Championship. The Indian finished five times in the top seven, including two runners-up.
In 2006, Badhwar finished runners-up after losing to Rico at Welk Resorts San Diego Fountain Executive Course, California in USA.
